JR Smith Is Willing To Stay In Cleveland For $15M Per Year- blogged by @niksofly The glow of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy hasn't fully wore off, but #JRSmith is already considering leaving the championship team. According to #ESPN, Smith who is No.17 on the all-time 3- point scoring list is considering seeking free-agency for a chance to earn more. Currently, JR is paid $5M per year by the #ClevelandCavaliers. Smith wants at least $15M per year. If the #Cavaliers are willing to pay him, he will stay. If not, JR will be taking his talents elsewhere. He will opt out of his $5.4M player option. The question then becomes whether the Cavaliers organization is willing to pay him or can they afford to lose JR? #Clevland must assess what Smith brings to the organization as a player and if is he worth the $15M per year he is seeking. In the regular season JR averaged a little over 12 points per game with a behind the arc average of 41.5%. Smith states it's not about the "nice cars and houses". Honestly it isn't. It's about getting your worth. No one wants to be a Wade and continually take pay cuts. He just won a championship. #BallerAlert #NBA #FreeAgency
