DC Young Fly Talks ‘How High 2’, Says He’s Disappointed Method Man and Redman Aren’t Involved - blogged by @msjennyb (@tmz_tv) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Next year, the made-for-tv follow up to #MethodMan and #Redman’s 2001 stoner comedy, “How High,” will premiere on MTV, starring #LilYachty and #DCYoungFly. But, unfortunately for many, the OG stars will not be involved in the sequel over disagreements behind the scenes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a recent interview with TMZ, DC opened up about the forthcoming film and his disappointment in the way things unfolded with the original duo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Method and Red done set the standards so high,” the comedian said. “It really can’t be matched. We only can just bridge the gap from the youth and from the old and just bring them together because we can’t top that. Only thing we can do is be another ‘How High’ just in a younger generation.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I’m disappointed,” he continued of Method and Red’s decision to step away from the film after initially being cut out of the deal. “Everyday I was like, ‘is they coming?’ ‘Is they gonna be here?’ Even though that they not apart of the movie, we still try to keep the culture alive.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Despite the hiccup though, DC believes the forthcoming film, which he revealed to be titled, “How High 2: 4/20,” will be one for the books. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “‘How High 2’ gon’ be lit, we gotta try to keep the bridge from the ‘How High' 1,” he said. “We ain’t doing nothing but building the bridge from the young generation to the old generation. We just letting folk know how these young folk smoke weed and we taking y’all on a journey.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As he continued, he even hinted at a third installment already in the works.
