No degree of planning prepares one for this. My father, Mr. Dick Gregory's memorial services will be very much so public and reflective of the way he lived his life. This will be an absolute celebration of a life never compromised, befitting of this legend. He was a man of the people and the people are invited to his service(s). My father loved Washington, DC and the DC metropolitan area is where we will call folks to gather and pay forward the love as we celebrate his life. Alongside our partners, we have been meticulously planning, grieving and laughing simultaneously. We are thankful for the incredible support from Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's office, Prince George's County, Maryland Executive Rushern Baker's office and City of Praise Family Ministries, to name a few.
