What did these companies expect was going to happen? Not only is it bad karma on them for profiting off of someone's death, its also the fact that slaughterhouses are unsanitary. Disgusting places where beautiful sentient beings come to get needlessly murdered for their flesh. You don't even have to step inside to hear their cries. You can see their remains out on the streets. Their blood flowing into low income neighborhoods. The whole area reeks of death.
