Who didn’t run to their television screens in the ’90s when they heard the catchy theme song, “Martiiiin?” Amid promotion for the highly anticipated third installment of the #BadBoys movie franchise, comedy icon #MartinLawrence is opening up about the demise of his hit show “Martin”. As reported in 2018, Martin Lawrence and his “Martin” co-stars #TishaCampbell, who played Martin Lawrence’s girlfriend in the sitcom, and #TichinaArnold reunited for the first time in two decades after Tisha Campbell’s controversial sexual harassment lawsuit against him. In 1997, Tisha Campbell’s lawsuit detailed that she experienced reported “obsessive” physical and emotional abuse at the hands of #Martin himself, including “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery and violent threats.” Martin Lawrence denied all of the allegations. In his latest interview with GQ, he hints that the turbulent times on set led to him leaving the show, despite reports of it being canceled. Here’s an excerpt from the interview: “GQ: You did the show for five seasons, right? How come it ended? Martin Lawrence: Well, how can I say this? It just was time to end. Let’s just put it that way. It was just, at that time, there was some, um, there were some things that was being said that— GQ: You’re talking about Tisha Campbell’s lawsuit?
