Westbrook will officially sign the extension with #OKC on Thursday. #TheVertical reported early Wednesday that the proposed deal would include a player option in year three allowing Westbrook to dabble in free agency in 2018. Per league sources, the structure of the extension gives Westbrook a maximum salary of $26.5 M in the 2016-17 season. Each season thereafter the #Thunder will have to pay Westbrook on average, $2M more throughout the duration of the contract.
