Nelly Fans Are Streaming "Hot In Herre" To Help Him Make Some Extra Cash - blogged by @BenitaShae According to #TMZ, Uncle Sam is ready for Nelly to pay up. Nelly has been hit with a $2,412,283 federal tax lien for 2013 and since it's such a large lump sum, the IRS could start seizing his assets and property. He's also in trouble with the state of Missouri. The Missouri Department of Revenue said the St. Louis Rapper owes $149,511 in unpaid state taxes from 2013. His original debt was $113,533 but the interest caught up with him. Spin Magazine tweeted a clever way to help him out, they proposed that fans stream “Hot in Herre” at least a collective 287,176,547 times so that Nelly could earn a sizable #Spotify payout. According to the streaming service the payout for artists “per stream” averages between $0.006 and $0.0084, which means that if #Nelly lands on the minimum end of the scale, he would need 402,880,500 streams to earn enough to significantly decrease the alleged debt. Will you stream "Hot In Herre" to help get Nelly out of trouble?
