Initially, reports surfaced claiming the jersey had been found after being held for safe keeping by the equipment manager, however, that was not the case. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On Feb 6, a complaint was filed with the #HoustonPoliceDepartment stating that the missing jersey was worth half a million dollars, after Brady informed the team’s owner that someone stole his game jersey. To which Robert Kraft replied, “You better look online.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After an extensive investigation into the missing uniform, with the help of the team officials and the FBI, the jersey has been found. According to officials, the jersey had been found on "foreign soil," traced to #Mexico. Sources say, the search also helped retrieve another one of Brady’s missing jerseys, the one from the team’s 2015 victory against the Seattle Seahawks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots’ security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP #TomBrady has been recovered,” a league spokesperson told ABC News. “Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015,” the spokesperson added. “The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media. Due to the ongoing investigation, we would refer any additional questions to the FBI.”
